Our mission at OC Music Services is to provide supportive and inclusive music service such as lessons, music therapy, and groups. Part of our mission is hosting free community events in our efforts to share about the power of music to unique individuals of all abilities, in a friendly and non-judgmental capacity.
Volunteering with us may involve:
- Being a greeter and door holder at our sensory-friendly music recitals
- Passing out recital programs
- Helping with our snack table after recitals
- Helping with local community events and fairs (coloring and playing music with kids)
- Helping prep/break down studio events (outdoor picnics, etc.)
- Passing out instruments during drumming experiences and other events

Inclusive Volunteering
Inclusive volunteering for people with disabilities involves creating opportunities for individuals of all abilities to participate in volunteer activities, ensuring that everyone feels valued, respected, and included. This approach focuses on removing barriers and providing reasonable accommodations to enable individuals with disabilities to fully engage in volunteer work.
Our inclusivity mission allows us to adapt tasks or environments to be more accessible, offering flexibility in scheduling, providing assistive technology or support, and offering training or guidance tailored to the needs of volunteers with disabilities.
Additionally, inclusive volunteering promotes awareness and understanding of disability-related issues among volunteers and staff, fostering a culture of empathy, acceptance, and collaboration.
Volunteer your music with us
OC Music Services partners and gives back to the community by hosting 3-4 music performances in local assisted living facilities. Our students get a chance to perform, visit with the residents and learn some life skills while sharing their music. Performances are casual, fun, and light hearted. Residents love it when we come and play our music for them!
We invite local musicians interested in practicing their performance skills in a safe and nurturing environment to join us. All instruments welcome!
