Job Description:

As a Music Therapist at OC Music Services, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals. You will be part of a team of professionals providing client-centered music therapy sessions, neurodiversity-affirming adapted lessons, and traditional music lessons.

We are looking for an individual who is passionate about their craft, and thrives in a flexible work environment both independently and within a team. This person is a strong and dependable team player excited about making a difference in their community.

Child development, neurodiversity affirming techniques, and experience leading both individual and group music therapy sessions should be areas applicants have experience in.

Working with children and adults with autism, sensory processing disorders, developmental disabilities, behavioral needs, and ADHD will be a key part of this role and ideal candidates will have experience in serving clients with these needs.

We work closely with our clients to assess their social, emotional, communication, physical and cognitive needs, and develop personalized music therapy plans to achieve individual and group goals. Your role will involve designing and implementing therapeutic sessions, documenting progress, and collaborating with our lead Music Therapist to ensure holistic care for each client.

OC Music Services serves all of Orange County in addition to providing sessions at our studio. This role requires driving to clients homes, schools, and senior facilities.

Qualifications:
  • Board-Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC) credential required with specialization in child development and pediatric therapy
  • Strong understanding of therapeutic techniques and human development
  • Flexible, empathetic, patient, and positive when working with clients, visitors and team members
  • Proficient skills in piano, percussion, and guitar
  • Experience working with a variety of neurodiverse diagnoses including ASD
  • Strong ability in facilitating group therapy sessions among children and the elderly
  • Excellent written and verbal communication as well as interpersonal skills
  • High level of organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player
  • Open to growth and continued professional development
  • Valid driver’s license, clean driving record and personal automobile insurance
  • Ability to work in studio as well as drive to clients home or place of business
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct assessments of clients’ emotional, psychological, and cognitive needs.
  • Design and implement effective music therapy sessions based on individualized treatment plans and reassess when needed.
  • Utilize a variety of musical techniques and interventions to address client goals.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of client progress and session notes.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as speech, occupational and physical therapists, teachers, physicians, and counselors, to create comprehensive treatment plans.
  • Provide support and education to clients’ families and caregivers as needed.
  • Participate in O.C.M.S. community events such as recitals, marketing events and outreach events.
  • Adhere to ethical and professional standards set by the American Music Therapy Association (AMTA) or relevant professional bodies.

Job Description:

As a Client Success Coordinator at OC Music Services, you will play a central role in creating a welcoming, organized, and supportive experience for the families we serve. We are a small family owned studio with a mission to provide equal musical opportunities within our community. Our services include traditional music lessons, adapted lessons, and music therapy.

This role is the first point of contact for many of our families and community partners. You will help guide new families through the intake process, support ongoing communication, and ensure that scheduling and studio operations run smoothly. Your work directly supports our clinicians and educators so they can focus on delivering high quality services.

You will help maintain consistent communication with families, coordinate schedules and changes, and support the daily flow of the studio environment. This includes contributing to a warm and organized studio atmosphere that reflects our values of inclusivity, growth, creativity, and community involvement.

We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, team player, and personable professional who enjoys building genuine relationships and creating positive interactions with families. The ideal candidate is warm, engaging, and confident communicating with parents, someone who can bring ease, clarity, and even moments of joy to everyday conversations. We want families to feel supported, heard, and uplifted when they interact with our team.

Key Responsibilities:

Beyond daily responsibilities, we are looking for someone who is thoughtful about systems and structure. This role is ideal for an individual who enjoys identifying opportunities for improvement, contributing ideas, and helping refine processes as our studio continues to grow.   • Serve as the primary point of contact for new and existing families.
  • Manage studio scheduling.
  • Respond to phone calls, emails, and inquiries in a timely and supportive manner.
  • Guide families through the intake process.
  • Maintain consistent communication with families regarding scheduling, updates, and studio information.
  • Develop positive, lasting relationships that strengthen family trust .
  • Proactively identify scheduling conflicts or gaps and implement solutions.
  • Maintain accurate client records and documentation within internal systems.
  • Assist with maintaining studio supplies and inventory.
  • Help maintain and refine administrative systems.
  • Identify opportunities to improve communication, organization, and efficiency.
  • Contribute ideas that strengthen structure, streamline processes, and enhance the overall client experience.
  • Work closely with therapists, instructors, and leadership to ensure aligned communication. 
  • Communicate clearly and professionally across team members regarding schedule changes and family updates.
  • Uphold the mission, values, and culture of OC Music Services in all interactions.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with a natural ability to connect with parents and families in a warm, authentic, and engaging way. You enjoy conversation and are able to help people feel comfortable, heard, and supported.
