Music Therapy Services to Address Emotional Wellbeing
Discover how our music therapy sessions can help kids, teens, and adults manage anxiety, depression, and emotional challenges.

Find Peace Through Music
You want to feel better—but talking about it doesn’t always come easy. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, or just trying to cope with life’s stressors, you deserve a space that feels safe, creative, and supportive.
Music therapy is more than just making music — it’s a research-based and compassionate approach to growth. At OC Music Services, we offer music therapy for mental health—an evidence-based, non-judgmental approach that uses music to help you process emotions, build coping strategies, and reconnect with your sense of self. No music experience is needed.
Our board-certified music therapists use therapeutic music experiences to support emotional wellbeing, reduce anxiety, build coping skills, strengthen self-expression, and increase self-esteem– all within a safe, creative, and empowering environment.
You’re not alone in this journey. Let us walk alongside you and you the tools, encouragement, and environment to thrive.

Led by our board-certified music therapists, each session blends structured musical activities with evidence-based interventions tailored to your needs.
Through songwriting, instrumental play, guided listening, and creative expression, sessions are personalized to help you:
Reduce anxiety and overwhelm

FAQs
Do I need a referral to start?
No referral is needed. You can contact us directly to schedule a consultation. While we often collaborate with therapists, doctors, or schools, you’re welcome to reach out on your own or on behalf of a loved one.
Do you take insurance?
OC Music Services is not in-network with insurance providers. However, we are happy to provide detailed superbills that you can submit to your insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Coverage varies depending on your plan, so we recommend contacting your provider to ask whether board-certified music therapy (by an MT-BC) is eligible for reimbursement under mental health or allied health services.
We’re also happy to answer questions or provide documentation to help with the process.
Do I need to have musical experience?
Not at all! No prior music experience is required. Music therapy is about using music as a tool for healing—not performance.
Where are sessions held?
Sessions are offered in-person at our Irvine studio or online via secure telehealth, depending on what’s most comfortable and accessible for you. Both options are designed to provide a supportive, engaging, and private environment.
What ages do you work with?
We work with individuals of all ages—from children to teens to adults. Each session is personalized to fit the client’s age, interests, and mental health needs.
