November books

Favorite November Thanksgiving Book Resources!! Read on for more details:

1️⃣ Five Silly Turkeys- Work on counting down from 5 to 1. The rhyming sentences are great for you to create a simple melody and sing-along. Print and cut out the key-words + rhymes to go more in depth with word recognition and sentence structure.

2️⃣ Gobble Wobble- Finger puppet book that is basically a song! Work on fine motor skills but using the finger puppet to dance to the song instructions (spin/wobble/etc)

3️⃣ SHORT story (6 pages long) which makes it great for those students with shorter attention goals. Sentences are short so can be read by early readers. This book can lead up to discussions of gratitude and giving thanks. Just in time for Thanksgiving!

4️⃣ Lengthier book option perfect for targeting words like: turkey, book, chair; Settings: recess, school, stage; Actions: hop, smile, cheer, etc. A fun musical addition is to add *sound effects* as you read along! What instrument can you use to create a “goop” sound?
